Di cosa vi parliamo oggi?
Prosegue l’impegno del Comitato Standard Interchapter per offrire ai soci incontri ed attività di approfondimento degli Standard del PMI, raccontarne casi d’uso, promuovere il confronto tra gli Standard di PMI e gli Standard di altre associazioni ed organizzazioni e costituire punto di riferimento per l’approfondimento della conoscenza degli stessi sia per singoli Project Manager che per le Aziende. Nato nel 2020 in seno al CIC, da giugno 2022 il Comitato si è allargato ai volontari del NIC e del SIC ed è oggi ufficialmente operativo come Comitato Standard Interchapter dal 2024.

PM² è la metodologia ufficiale di Project Management della Commissione Europea, creata per supportare le istituzioni, gli Stati membri e i beneficiari nella gestione dei progetti in modo più efficace. Questa presentazione ripercorre la storia di PM², dalle sue origini all’interno della Commissione Europea fino alla sua evoluzione in metodologia aperta, oggi ampiamente adottata in Europa e oltre. Introduce il Manifesto della PM² Alliance, che evidenzia i principi e i valori fondamentali che ne guidano l’utilizzo, e spiega i vantaggi dell’adozione di PM² sia nei contesti pubblici che privati.

Ne discuteremo con il nostro ospite Nicos Kourounakis, il moderatore sarà Maria Cristina Barbero. Non mancate!

What are we talking about today?
The Interchapter Standards Committee continues its commitment to offering members meetings and activities to explore the PMI Standards, share use cases, promote comparisons between the PMI Standards and those of other associations and organizations, and serve as a point of reference for deepening their knowledge of the Standards for both individual Project Managers and companies. Founded in 2020 within the CIC, the Committee expanded to include volunteers from the NIC and SIC in June 2022, and has been officially operational as the Interchapter Standards Committee since 2024.

PM² is the official Project Management Methodology of the European Commission, created to support institutions, Member States, and beneficiaries in managing projects more effectively. This presentation traces the story of PM², from its origins inside the European Commission to its evolution into an open methodology now widely adopted across Europe and beyond. It introduces the PM² Alliance Manifesto, which highlights the core principles and values that underpin its use and explains the advantages of adopting PM² in both public and private contexts.

We’ll talk about this with our guest Nicos Kourounakis, the moderator will be Maria Cristina Barbero. Do not miss this appointment!

I partecipanti otterranno una panoramica della più ampia suite metodologica PM², che copre la gestione di programmi e portafogli, e scopriranno pubblicazioni indipendenti chiave come l’Addendum PM² per la Sostenibilità e l’Addendum per i Progetti Finanziati dall’UE. La sessione mette inoltre in evidenza il ruolo della PM² Alliance e del più ampio ecosistema Open PM² nella promozione della condivisione della conoscenza, della formazione e del miglioramento continuo.

Participants will gain an overview of the broader PM² suite of methodologies, covering program and portfolio management, and discover key independent publications such as the PM² Addendum for Sustainability and the Addendum for EU-Funded Projects. The session also highlights the role of the PM² Alliance and the wider Open PM² ecosystem in promoting knowledge sharing, training, and continuous improvement.

SPEAKER

Nicos Kourounakis

PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA-D, PM², PM²-Agile, PfM². Nicos Kourounakis is a Management Consultant, Trainer and Author. Since 2011 he has been leading consulting projects at major EU Institutions such as the European Commission, the European Parliament, and others.

He is the Author of several European Commission and European Parliament publications such as the PM² and ENGAGE Methodologies, as well as the Author of the PfM² Guide for Portfolio Management (2021), the PgM² Guide for Programme Management (2022), the PM² Addendum for Sustainability (2024), the PM² Addendum for EU-Funded Projects (2025) as well as a book about Effective Intelligence (FI) (Nov 2025).

He holds an MBA from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, a MASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria, Canada, and a BSc in Physics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece

Maria Cristina Barbero

PMP® è Senior Project Manager in progetti di trasformazione IT e consulente direzionale sui temi del PMO e del Resource Capacity Management. Laureata in Matematica, MBA c/o la UOP, ha un significativo background come system developer. Con 15 anni di esperienza come coordinatore della formazione di Project Management in aziende, è referente della formazione base di project management al Master di Project Management e Gestione dell’Innovazione all’Università di Padova. Possiede le certificazioni PMP®, PMI-ACP®, PMO-CP, CSM.
